David was born to Lloyd and Dorothy Gillis on December 10, 1053 and was raised in South Portland, Maine. He had four children - Melissa Jean(12/7/69), Marcie Danielle(10/28/78), Molly Lynn(2/4/87) and Lindsay Leigh(6/3/88). He has 7 grandchildren - Melissa has 2 children, Nikki and Jake; Marcie has 3 children - Maggie, Lillie and Caleb; and Molly has 2 children - Journey and Landyn.
